What’s On Golden Valley 4th March 2019
Spring seems to here at last, with a glorious end to February. I enjoyed going to the Eaton Bishop Farmers’ Market on Saturday, and I am delighted that Grosmont is hosting a Spring Market next Saturday, 9th March 10-2. The line up looks great, with brunch, lunch and a Bar-be-que! Plus children’s crafts. I have also heard of the latest event from Garway. The Nuadha Quartet will be performing a Jazz Supper evening on Saturday 23rd March. Doors open at 6.30. Tickets £12.50 per person to include supper. Full bar. Book a table asap to avoid missing out. Supper includes a vegetarian option.Telephone Corinne on 01981 580086 or email
Don’t forget that the latest offering from Longtown & District Historical Society is tonight:
Professor Helen Nicholson (Cardiff University): “Knights Templar and Knights Hospitaller in the Marches”. The Templars’ base in Herefordshire was at Garway, the Hospitallers’ centre was at Dinmore. One of their estates was in Wormbridge.
Finally, earlier on 23rd March is the latest Outdoor Church,
