What’s On Golden Valley 25th March 2019

by richard April 04, 2019

Hello, and welcome to the latest diary update for the Golden Valley. I have actually been busy over the past week or so preparing for the Easter Fair at the Steiner academy, Hereford.  This is on Sunday 7th April, at the school, 11-4.  It should be a great event, as we now have more than 30 stall holders booked, a pony ride, pet petting, treasure hunt, pop corn and food.  Should be a great day out!

Before that, on Saturday 30th March it is the monthly Vowchurch Farmers’ Market, with a first-rate array of stalls and great bacon butties.  It is worth attending just for them!  And then on Sunday, Mothering Sunday, they are hosting a special breakfast.  Think I’ll be booking a place for the family!

This week, we have some advance notices and reminders of regular events.

In order, they are:

There will be other events and activities too; craft demonstrations and videos, a display of old photos of the village, music by community choirs and The Psychedelic Hearts’ Club Band, and opportunities to learn how to ring the church bells.  Villagers and local schoolchildren are already helping make bunting, as well as making plans for their scarecrows.
