Vowchurch Farmers Market

I was at the Vowchurch Farmers’ Market yesterday. It totally lived up to expectations. Really good veg from Arkstone Mill Vegetable Boxes. Very tasty sprouts (for those of us who actually enjoy this vegetable, and not just at Christmas). Angela’s Garden Services was present, and taking orders for vegetable plugs for the spring. I find it can be really challenging getting the seeds to become viable plants, so I appreciate this op…
The entrepreneur that is Russell Pugh was ever present, offering not just the Christmas fayre from The Three Horseshoes and The Great British Meatbox, but also taking orders for Christmas trees. I asked about turkeys…..they may be on the menu next year!
Neffy was back in force grilling bacon for the butties. She was away last month, and was missed.
Good news is the market will be back next month (15th) for a Christmas special.
This week, I am at the Clehonger Messy Church on Monday, then Tuesday at Breinton for the Herefordshire Tree Week. Other events for this week include a poetry evening and Friday pruning fruit trees in Leominster. Saturday is off to Eaton Bishop for their Farmer’s Market. It is the Christmas special, and should be a great occasion. 10-12.30. eatonbishopvillagehall@gmail.com.
